What telehealth is
Telehealth is the delivery of medical services using audio and video communication when the patient and the physician are at different locations. JuveFlo offers telehealth visits to Florida residents through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
Benefits and limits
Telehealth lets patients access specialty care without travel and supports the unhurried, scheduled cadence of a concierge practice. It also has limits: physical examination is not always possible, certain symptoms require in-person evaluation, and not every clinical situation can be managed remotely. Dr. Flores will recommend in-person care or referral when indicated.
Identity and location
Florida law requires that we verify your identity and confirm your physical location at the time of each telehealth visit. Telehealth visits are offered only to patients physically present in Florida at the time of the visit, unless the visit qualifies under a specific exception.
Prescribing
Prescriptions issued via telehealth follow Florida and federal prescribing rules. Controlled substances are prescribed only when permitted by law. Hormone optimization protocols require baseline laboratory testing prior to initiating therapy.
Privacy and recording
Telehealth visits are not recorded by the practice. Information collected during a visit is handled under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform, but no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Technology failure
If the connection fails during a visit, Dr. Flores will attempt to reach you by phone at the number on file to complete or reschedule the visit. If you cannot connect, contact the practice using the number on the contact page.
Emergencies
Telehealth is not a substitute for emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw consent to telehealth at any time without affecting your right to future care, and request to be seen in person where available.
